The project was to create a multi-family, multi-generational house on a tight corner lot facing a park in a historic area of Bangalore. The house is organized to balance the opportunities for communal life for the extended family with the need for each family to operate with autonomy and privacy. The project incorporates all important aspects of the traditional Indian residence transformed into a modern idiom.
