The project involved the 3,500 sq.ft. apartment renovation for a journalist and collector of 20th Century Art and African Sculpture. The project objective was to combine two adjacent apartments on one level with a third, penthouse apartment above which offered dramatic views onto the Hudson River. The connection between the two levels became expressed as a spacial hinge housing the clients workspace and library. Additioinally, the project endeavored to marry the requirements of a place for art with those of a young family.
