Upon arriving at school the first day of class, we were asked to make a drawing of the 3rd Floor Lobby from memory. The attempt to recall the character of the space led to an imaginative interpretation of its architectonic properties. This exercise was followed by a drawing based on a physical survey. A comparison of the two drawings brought discoveries about the relationship between architectural fact and fiction.
